About Arenal Manoa Hot Springs
An independent guide to the hot springs water of the Arenal volcano area in Costa Rica, read against the resorts' own information and the listings licensed operators publish on booking platforms. Start from our Arenal hot springs comparison to see every bookable option side by side. We compare tour listings, official visitor information and recent traveller feedback. We do not operate or personally conduct these tours.
Why this site exists
Almost every visitor to La Fortuna wants the same thing at the end of a hiking day: hot water, outdoors, under the volcano. What they find online is a wall of lookalike names - thermal resorts, hot rivers, day passes, combo tours - where the actual products differ hugely in price, format and feel. The same week can hold a $29 ticket to a natural thermal river, a $60 resort pass with 25 pools and waterslides, and a $95 guided day that stacks the waterfall, the volcano and a soak.
Pick blind and you either overspend on a resort you only wanted for an hour, or book a hike-heavy day for a family that just wanted pools. This site reads the listings before you pay.
This is not the official resort website
We are not Arenal Manoa Resort & Hot Springs, we are not any other resort or tour operator in the area, and we have no affiliation with them. This is an independent comparison guide, and the domain name describes the subject we cover, nothing more. The resort communicates with its own guests through its official website.
If you need to change a room reservation, ask about resort facilities, or reach the hotel directly, use the resort's own channels - not us. What we do is read what the area's operators and resorts publish, add what recent travellers report, and put the bookable hot-spring options next to each other so the differences are visible.
How we compare
Every listing in the catalog was read directly from its booking platform page: price, inclusions, cancellation terms, minimum ages, start times and restrictions. Resort facts - pool counts, temperatures, opening hours, day-pass rules - are checked against each resort's own published information. Traveller ratings and review counts are the platforms' own verified-booking numbers, printed as they stand.
When a listing is silent on something that decides a booking, we say so instead of guessing. Figures are re-read on a quarterly schedule, and the comparison notes the quarter they were current for.
How this site is funded
The catalog is free to read and funded by affiliate commissions: when a reader books an experience through one of our links, the platform pays us a referral fee at no extra cost to the traveller. Every listing earns the same way, so the comparison has no house favourite to feed - our pick is declared on stated, measurable grounds, and the caveats are printed on the listings that pay us exactly as on the ones that do not. The full detail sits on our affiliate disclosure.
How fresh the figures are
Prices, ratings, schedules and resort facts in this guide are read from the live listings and re-checked every quarter. The quarter the current figures belong to is printed once, at the end of the homepage comparison. If you spot a figure that has moved, the contact page is the fastest way to get it corrected.
